Long time, no see...

It has been forever since I have written a post.
Life is busy as always, and I thought summer
would allow me time to get caught up...
And many projects have been completed and a lot of fun has
been accomplished. We re-worked our deck,
opened up our laundry space, took lots of short day trips,
and even went to the beach for a week. Other
than that it has been a relaxing summer, which was
much needed. We are getting ready to have a
Home-made ice cream party with the family today,
one of the last hurrahs of summer vacation.
We have been busy cleaning house today, and
I even managed to make it to the
Farmer's Market where I picked up the beautiful flowers here.
I hope you all have had an enjoyable summer,
and I hope to post more this fall.

Feeling a bit Shell-fish...

It is hard to believe summer vacation is nearly over...
we just got back from the beach this past weekend.
A sure sign that summer is coming to an end,
and school will soon be starting...
We had a great time at the beach,
but I am feeling a bit shell-fish,
as I wished we were back.
Alas we home at least for another year,
but we are enjoying the spoils of
our trip in the house.
We normally pick up a few shells, and I never buy any,
however this year I went a little crazy...
so spent the morning, putting out my shells,
and holding on tight to the last days of summer!
I hope you are all having a great summer too!!

Fast trip, fun journey, and were back...

We just enjoyed a few days camping in the
North Carolina mountains. We had a blast with good
friends, and now we are back.
It was a fast trip, a fun journey, and filled with lots of great memories!
What was your favorite summer trip?

If you had popped by my Etsy Shop, it was closed while we were away, but has been re-opened.
There are also a few new pieces still available in my Big Cartel Shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by...

The countdown is on...

The countdown is on...
Summer is only a few weeks away,
and you know me,
I am ready to play in the clay...
I am trying to gain some inspiration,
so I am spending as much time in my garden as possible.
Here are a few new friends I met yesterday...

I have also picked up my pieces from the gallery,
and I am going to start working on a new collection
for them, as well as a few pieces for something special for 2016,
if all goes well...
My pieces I picked up from the gallery are available now in my
stop by and check out these storybook characters, and adopt one if you like...

As promised...Back Again...

As promised I am back blogging again today...two days in a row, it is a small miracle.
Yesterday amongst all the things I needed to get done,
and wanted to get done, I sat down and painted this little canvas.
I had said while we were at the beach last week, that I really loved the colors in my beach towel,
which reflects the love of teals and turquoises that run throughout our little home.
So I picked up this little canvas, and was lucky enough to be there on buy one get one free day, actually I think the sale goes on all week.
Who knows what I will paint on the other canvas, something Halloweeny, I suspect...
Here is the little canvas painted in a small vignette, the pottery is by a local artist and friend
Melissa Bentley, the Bulldog, Zinnia is of course by Johanna Parker, and the zinnia marble is by another Carolina artist Andrew Lazenby.

Summer Succulents

~Vintage McCoy pot and carvings by Greg Guedel~

Summertime is in full swing, and I feel like a slack blogger...
I am hoping to change that over the next couple of months, so pop
by here and say hi if you get a chance. Sorry I have been so aloof lately. I am creating
up a storm, and prepping for Spirits in Sanford, we just got back from the beach, which was
a much needed break. Now of course I am trying to catch up on the day-to-day activities.
I am trying to get some planting done in the garden and here in the house. Today was succulent day, so check out the pictures here of my new succulent plants in vintage pots, and a few handmade ones as well. In the picture above you can see a couple of Greg Guedel's carved birds.
You can check out more of his work HERE.
