Here are some peeks from the studio,
I am working away on pieces for this fall!
I am also working on a new Challenge piece for
Every Witch Way Lane!
Take a peek inside my Broom Cupboard,
if you dare...seems it has become infested with a
rodent or two...

Finding Beauty in the garden...

Finding beauty in the garden...
My love of gardening started years ago,
my grandmother who was an avid gardener,
always tended her flower beds, and had a huge
vegetable garden every summer.
I think of her everyday as I water,
weed, or plant new flowers in my bed.
She had Alzheimers, and when her health started declining,
I took over tending to her flowers beds.
I remember taking her out to the flowers in her wheel chair,
and having her pick flowers to arrange in her home.
She loved the gardens, and taught me so much about
having faith even though that was not her intentions.
Check out these beauties above, in a vintage vase.
I hope you get out today and smell the flowers
and they bring you faith, happiness,
and a smile. :)

As promised...Back Again...

As promised I am back blogging again today...two days in a row, it is a small miracle.
Yesterday amongst all the things I needed to get done,
and wanted to get done, I sat down and painted this little canvas.
I had said while we were at the beach last week, that I really loved the colors in my beach towel,
which reflects the love of teals and turquoises that run throughout our little home.
So I picked up this little canvas, and was lucky enough to be there on buy one get one free day, actually I think the sale goes on all week.
Who knows what I will paint on the other canvas, something Halloweeny, I suspect...
Here is the little canvas painted in a small vignette, the pottery is by a local artist and friend
Melissa Bentley, the Bulldog, Zinnia is of course by Johanna Parker, and the zinnia marble is by another Carolina artist Andrew Lazenby.

Summer Succulents

~Vintage McCoy pot and carvings by Greg Guedel~

Summertime is in full swing, and I feel like a slack blogger...
I am hoping to change that over the next couple of months, so pop
by here and say hi if you get a chance. Sorry I have been so aloof lately. I am creating
up a storm, and prepping for Spirits in Sanford, we just got back from the beach, which was
a much needed break. Now of course I am trying to catch up on the day-to-day activities.
I am trying to get some planting done in the garden and here in the house. Today was succulent day, so check out the pictures here of my new succulent plants in vintage pots, and a few handmade ones as well. In the picture above you can see a couple of Greg Guedel's carved birds.
You can check out more of his work HERE.
This gorgeous pot is one of two, created by Carol Ross
