Easter decorating is underway...

It seems like it has been forever since I have posted about my little home

which you know I love...I am in the process of decorating it for Easter, and well...

it is underway...

Here is my new friend, a wood carved bunny, tooting in the the season with his horn,

Valentine's Day came a bit early this year. 

We went out last night on a real date!! 

Something we have not done in a long time. 

No kids, nice quiet dinner. 

Delicious Raspberry cheesecake!

Oh and we exchanged gifts when we returned home.

Getting in the mood for the Fourth of July!

Hey there wait a minute Mrs. Post-woman...
Today, boy, she delivered...
when I got home these were sitting at my door...
Upon inspection I first opened these beautifully wrapped originals from Kristen Beason.
The tree is covered in her wonderful imaginative works!!

In the next box was this intricately detailed Abraham Lincoln ornament from
Wendy Smith Leaumont, the shading, and highlights are done in colored pencil,
and my sorry camera does not do it justice. It is very beautifully made!
In the third box was Uncle Sam from the very talented Lance Perry.
He went with a more scary face look with his, which I love,
bringing out the Halloween Fanatic chills!

I am gearing up for the fourth of July...look for pictures all weekend long
of my new "Patriotic Tree"

filled with Artist ornaments to ooohhh and aaaahhh over!

From concept to reality, teaming up with Kristen Beason to bring a new Twinkle to life!

I am so excited to see this new Twinkle come to life! I had wanted Kristen to make me another Twinkle ornament for 2010, however I did not think she would be ready so soon! Kristen Beason works fast, and always makes her whimsical characters POP! I love my collection from Kristen and I am so glad to add another piece to it, but especially excited to add another Twinkle to it! Her characters are just darling, in a creepy cool kinda way! Check out my original drawing above (I know it is a really rough sketch), and her wonderful ornament that reflects Twinkle all Skeletoned up for Halloween!!!

Still a Halloween Fanatic...

Wonderful New Ornaments for my Halloween Tree, by Three Great Artists!!!!!!!



I know it seems like forever since I have posted about collecting, well don't think by any means I have stopped. I have been on a roll creating, but I have also been on a roll collecting! I purchased a 6 ft. Halloween tree, among other trees, and there will be a Halloween forest this year in true Halloween Fanatic style. I have been putting a lot of my collecting into ornaments this year! I currently have about thirty ornaments, but would love to have around 50 to really show off the tree, so I am making arrangements each day, as many of you already to know...

Last week was a great week for my collection...first to arrive was a new lil devil from Kristen Beason! Her works always make me smile, and especially this one, since it came as a gift! It was very thoughtful of Kristen to make me one. I picked up another piece from Kristen at her blog sale last week! Double fun last week with new pieces from Kristen.

Also last week I got a new Twinkle ornament from Kathren at Codys Keepsakes! She has been following my blog, and I hers for a while now. She had seen my Twinkle collections and sent me the sweetest Twinkle ornament! It is a key, and you know how much my family means to me and Twinkle is family. So she really sent me a key to my heart! I love this little ornament, and will be so proud to place it on my tree this year!!!!

One more, last but certainly not least a "Grimmy" YES Grimmy ornament from Carmen over at Spooky Hollow! It is the cutest little spook ever to pop out of a letter block I have ever seen, lucky enough to have swapped with Carmen.

First peek inside my home for Halloween 2009...Look for more photos all week...

The first picture is what you see when you enter my home. "Twinkle" created by Jorge De Rojas (HO HO HALLOWEEN) stands along side, my copies of Celebrate 365, (Which I am in this year, as the collector's feature), between two Hallmark trees.

The second image are of my three little trick-or-treaters,sitting on our front porch, look for more photos of them Sunday all in the Halloween Finery!!

The third picture is of a Halloween tree that I purchased at Wal-Mart this year, I am going back for the bigger one, I have more ornaments than I have tree to display them on. There are ornaments Lori Rudolph (Retrorudolphs), Kristen Beason (Kristen Beason Designs), Patty Benedict (Woopitydooart),Marie Patterson (My Little World), and some on there that I have painted!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WIFE, CHERYL...Check out her birthday gift from me, created by the talented Kristen Beason...it was inspired by an early photo of Cheryl in Dance Class. Kristen did an amazing job capturing little Cheryl! Needless to say Cheryl was thrilled!!

I received my latest Kristen Beason ornament today and now my jewelry spinning display stand has an ornament for each hook, and it looks spinnalicious!!!
