October is here-Home Sneak Peek... (Part 1)

(Old made new again Halloween noise makers painted by the one and only Cali Lee.)

the master carver Greg Geudel)
October is here-
Home Sneak Peek...
October is here and decorating for
Halloween is almost done...
Decorating with a carnival/circus theme
has been a blast...
so many artists have created some great pieces
for me, and some I have luckily been able to add to
my collection over the years.

 (Strong Man above,
and Ring Master below
created by Michelle Lauritsen,
circus tents by Jo James )

Working with this theme has allowed me to focus on
decorating with a select group of pieces,
which has been a pleasant change
and kept my focus and attention on the collection...

(Fortune Teller dolls above, and clowns below by  the ever talented Allen Cunningham)

I hope you enjoy this small peek inside my home.
Happy October Everyone!

Fiestaware, Spring Break, Easter POPS!

 For the Love of Fiestaware!!!!
I am ripping the typical Easter pastel page out of the book this Easter,
and journeying down a more bright COLORFUL road, with
Fiestaware Inspiration!!
(Some of the gorgeous colors of Fiestaware seen above,
produced in USA!!!)
When I first contacted Greg Guedel about making me a carved
Easter bunny, we through words around like chocolate, of course,
but then...there was talk of my Fiestaware collection,
and color words like:
FLAMINGO, CITRON, TURQUOISE, AQUA, MARIGOLD
of course when I saw him with all the Fiestaware it was clear that
he needed some sweet, tweet, friends in similar colors!
I think Greg did a fabulous job creating the exact characters to
ring in a BRIGHT, COLORFUL, FABULOUS, Easter!
Another Bright Sight...
Here is a picture of my sweeties seeing the Easter Bunny,
I hope they continue to humor me with this Easter tradition
for years to come. Love these three so much!
Wishing you all a Colorful, Happy, Bright Easter,
with many Blessings to come!!!

Summer Succulents

~Vintage McCoy pot and carvings by Greg Guedel~

Summertime is in full swing, and I feel like a slack blogger...
I am hoping to change that over the next couple of months, so pop
by here and say hi if you get a chance. Sorry I have been so aloof lately. I am creating
up a storm, and prepping for Spirits in Sanford, we just got back from the beach, which was
a much needed break. Now of course I am trying to catch up on the day-to-day activities.
I am trying to get some planting done in the garden and here in the house. Today was succulent day, so check out the pictures here of my new succulent plants in vintage pots, and a few handmade ones as well. In the picture above you can see a couple of Greg Guedel's carved birds.
You can check out more of his work HERE.
