The Art Crawl, what a Ball!!!

Last night was the Statesville Art Crawl, and it was a ball! So fun seeing so many folks I knew, and meeting so many new collectors! I was a GG's Art, Frames, and Gifts in Historic Downtown Statesville. GG's will be carrying Halloween Fanatic Originals now on a regular basis! So if you missed the Crawl, you can still stop by and check out some of my originals!!

To add to the excitement, in this mornings paper front page and on page 10A is an article about the Art Crawl, I am hidden there on the left behind the light, but you can see my table of originals there. There are also four paragraphs from my interview last night at the Art Crawl, all in all, it was a great night! Everyone had a good time!

A wonderful lunch of like minds...

Today I traveled to Asheville, N.C. to have lunch with two sweet ladies.
I met with
Connie Porcher, owner, and overseer of
It was so much fun meeting Connie in person, she is such a sweetheart!
I first met Connie online, when she included me in a Collector's Feature in her
Halloween 2009 Issue. I told her then that I wanted to come back in 2010 as an artist.
Luckily in 2010, I did.
My artwork has appeared in seven of her wonderful publications, including two covers.
She has been a great friend and supporter of my artistic endeavors, and it was so great to finally meet her in person.
With Connie, was Elaine Roesle, another sweetheart, and amazing artist. I have a few of her
snow children, and some of her beautiful flocked trees. It was a pleasure to meet her as well.
We had a wonderful time discussing art, ornaments, and the Golden Glow Convention.
They are both visiting N.C. to attend the Golden Glow Convention. They will have a table there
selling beautiful ornaments and impressive Christmas art. If you are a member of
Golden Glow, and in attendance, stop by and see these two wonderful ladies, grab an ornament,
and tell them Robert sent ya!

In Full Halloween Mode...

Okay it is official I am in
FULL HALLOWEEN MODE!
Check out this fun picture of one of the largest pieces I have ever worked on a little over 17 inches tall. She is going to be one cool witch, when I ever get her finished. She is currently drying, and waiting... to figure out all the details and special applications that will be added to make her one more stylish witch!

Getting ready to celebrate 365...

It won't be too much longer until envelopes start arriving in mailboxes, that contain the wonderful magazine/journal Celebrate 365: A Journal for the Ornament Enthusiast! My collections, art, and home were featured in the Halloween issue last fall, as the collectors feature, and my artwork will return again in this issue! I will have three rabbits hopping down the rabbit hole and off the pages of this great issue which will include art inspired by Alice in Wonderland!! Connie Porcher does a marvelous job putting together each issue. Also included inside will be a great feature from my friend Flora Thompson of Bone Head Studios! I cannot wait to get my copy, which hopefully will arrive while I am away on vacation or shortly after!
Check out CELEBRATE 365 and order your copy/subscription today!!
